AND WHEREIN, Sultan Ahmad was a founding and charter member of the National Alumni Association of the Black Panther Party in 2011, which was chartered in Philadelphia PA. He served as the second President of the Alumni Association for two terms.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that we embrace the Ahmad family because all of us share a common bond that will connect us for the rest of our lives, The Spirit of Brother Sultan. We cannot replace Brother Sultan; however, we can and will continue to demonstrate his love for family and community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a period of official mourning will be observed for 30 days by the setting aside of a special seat at the Board of Trustees Meeting to acknowledge the passing of our beloved Comrade Brother and President emeritus, Sultan Ahmad.
To the family of Sultan Ahmad, we know your hearts are heavy and your sorrow is great, but we want you to know that we share in your sorrow, but more importantly, we recognize that this loss is Heaven’s gain.
