Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” is Our New Anthem

It’s one of those songs you need to hear when you just are fed up. Fed up with society and how black people are treated wrongly, systematically profiled, murdered, tortured, profiled, depressed, distressed and just exhausted at the world that we as human beings belong. Kendrick Lamar’s voice is not only a voice of generation, filling the void the Tupac Shakur left; he’s uplifting not on our generation, but the generations that have come before us. With is lyrical honesty, candor and vivid portrayals of our life as black people in America. It’s exactly what we need to hear in our time.

“Alright” speaks to us the truth of our current situations what ever it may be, a clear depiction of how we can be at the lowest in our hearts, minds and just tired of being broken or just having a bad day. What ever you are going through this song will uplift your spirits and put a smile on your face and “two-step” in your feet. Listen and watch this beautifully directed music visual and be alright.
