Amandla Stenberg is a Young Activist in the Making!

The Black Lives Matter isn’t the only movement pushing change by young people of color. There has also been a movement brewing by the young black kids in Hollywood and Amandla Stenberg  (young Cataleya in ‘Colombiana’ and Rue in ‘The Hunger Games’)  is one of the leaders in this millennial righteous movement happening in our culture. She’s been adamant and  very outspoken about black culture appropriation, that has recently become rapid in mainstream media. Stenberg created a video specifically about Black women’s hair and appropriation for her high-school project that caught fire (over 1 million views) entitled  “Don’t Cash Crop My Cornrows”. Recently she’s covered the UK fashion and culture magazine DAZED with a quote from Angela Davis written on her face…

“We know the road to freedom has always been stalked by death – Angela Davis”
