03 Aug Carl Benard Hampton

December 17, 1948 – July 26, 1970

Carl B. Hampton Memorial Activities:(Assassinated on 07/26/1970) began on 07/26/12 with a graveside memorial at the Golden Gate Cemetery at 8400 Hirsch Rd., Houston,Tx 77016 near Laura Koppe in the Trinity Gardens area of town.  The new ledger marking his grave is a fitting tribute to a comrade who made the supreme sacrifice.

On Friday 07/27/12 the films “Legacy of Carl Hampton” and The Murder of Fred Hampton was shown at SHAPE Community Center at 3815 Live Oak.

On Saturday 07/28/12  activities, beginning at 12 noon, commemorated the legacy of Carl at Dupree Park at 2500 Francis(at Dowling) near the site where he was assassinated.  A candlelight walk to the site concluded this annual event that celebrates and remembers the life and works of our comrade Carl Benard Hampton.
